Venezuela defines members of the judo selection for XIII South American Games Santa Fe 2026

Led by the athletes Anriquelis Barrios in -63 and Karen León in +78, the Venezuelan Judo Federation (FVJ) defined the representatives who will defend the tricolor on the mat of the XIII South American Games Santa Fe 2026.

Barrios, like Elvismar Rodríguez, in -78, return to the event to extend the title they won in the previous edition of Asunción 2022 where they were proclaimed champions in their divisions, according to the FVJ in a press release.

Tricolor judo will arrive in Santa Fe with a solid female component backed by the trajectory of the two-time Olympic champion (Tokyo 2020 and Paris 2024), Anriquelis Barrios.

In addition, Karen León, an Olympian in Tokyo 2020 and holder of the title in the +78 division, will seek to resume the story in events of this series after her absence in Asunción.
