Venezuela goes to the women's volleyball final at the World Cadet Games

The Venezuelan national team qualified for the women's volleyball final of the IV World Cadet Games 2024, which will be held this Thursday, August 22, at the Gymnasium of the Military Academy of the Bolivarian Army, in Caracas. The rivals of the Criollas will be announced after the day this Wednesday.

The Venezuelan cadets beat the Russian cadet team 3-1 with partials of 25/12, 23/25, 25/17, 25/20, one of the tallest and strongest teams in the championship.

Professor Juan Carlos Loaiza assured that the match was even and thus proposed the strategy of the Venezuelan women, highlighting the coordination between them: “The strategy we used with the service worked for us because Russian women have some small flaws in reception,” Radio Miraflores quoted on its web portal.

Carlybeth Gunrry Quintana was the most outstanding player of the match and thanked her team and the Venezuelan fans, and stressed that they will work hard to keep the prize at home.
