Venezuela has made significant progress in its oil industry. Between January and September 2025, Petrleos de Venezuela S.A. (PDVSA) had a turnover of US$ 11.7 billion for crude oil exports, exceeding the revenues obtained in the same period of 2024.

Despite the blockade and sanctions imposed by the United States, Venezuela achieved an 18% increase in oil exports compared to the previous year, with an average of 856,800 barrels per day sold during the first nine months of the year.

Although the price of Merey crude oil was between 8 and 9 dollars below the value recorded in 2024, the increase in the volume exported made it possible to compensate for the fall in international prices.

This achievement is part of a national energy recovery strategy that has included the diversification of trade routes, the strengthening of bilateral relations with allied countries, and active cooperation with partners of the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC). Thanks to these efforts, Venezuela has maintained its presence in the international market, overcoming financial and logistical obstacles derived from sanctions.

The country's commitment to stabilizing the global energy market and its ability to adapt to external restrictions reflect a resilient oil policy, aimed at economic recovery and the strengthening of its energy sovereignty.
