Venezuela obtains first Paralympic diploma in Paris 2024

This Friday, the Venezuelan Franyeli Vargas ranked seventh in the Long Jump category (athletics), class T11, in the seventeenth edition of the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games, with a mark of 4.18 meters, which awarded her first diploma for Venezuela.
According to information from the Ministry for Youth and Sports, visually impaired Vargas (class T11) reached the 4.18 m mark in his corresponding six jumps to be among the eight best in his category.
For her part, Rosibel Colmenares, also played in the same test and placed ninth. The gold medal went to Asila Mirzayorova (Uzbekistan) with a jump of 5.24 m.
In addition, the parathlete Lisbeli Vera, made her appearance in the 400 meters flat and managed to enter the final classification of that race with a time of 58.22 seconds and finished first in her qualifying round.
While the Venezuelan Irene Suárez (class T11) participated in the 400 meters flat with visual impairment and failed to advance, but she is expected to return to the track on September 1 in the 1500 meters.
