Venezuela receives four awards at the Paris Chocolate Salon

Venezuela was present at the Paris Chocolate Salon 2025, where so far it has received four prizes for original chocolate: Barlovento, Choroní, Chuao, Ocumare and Barlovento.

In this regard, chocolate master Fredmerys Plaza highlighted that receiving this award is a recognition that Venezuela has a harvest process.

“We have the best cocoa in the world. The result of this is this: they are four origins, four different places in Venezuela shining in Paris,” he said.

He stressed that he is “happy to be able to represent Venezuela, it is an area as special as cocoa for us, which is part of our identity as Venezuelans. Here the cocoa shone!”

The Paris Chocolate Salon 2025 is held in the city of Paris, France, at the Porte de Versailles from October 29 to November 2, 2025 to pay homage to cocoa in all its richness and creativity, with master classes from world-renowned pastry chefs.

The event brings together more than 500 participants from all over the world to live a magical and multisensory chocolate experience in the City of Lights.
