The Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela categorically rejects the arrival and possible operation of the FPSO One Guyana vessel in the so-called Stabroek Block, as this is an illegal action in a maritime area pending delimitation, where Venezuela maintains historical and legitimate rights.

In an official statement, Venezuela classifies this maneuver, promoted by Guyana in alliance with ExxonMobil, as a violation of fundamental principles of international law, which oblige Guyana to “refrain from adopting unilateral measures in areas without agreed delimitation”.

He argues that this behavior by Guyana demonstrates an open “disregard for international legality and for the commitments made in the Argyle Agreement of 2023, recklessly jeopardizing regional peace and stability”.
