Venezuela, through a statement, categorically rejects the recent statements of the High Representative of the European Union (EU), Josep Borrell, “which plunge that block back into the rotting mud where they were for a long time when they followed Juan Guaidó's bizarre failed experiment.”

The statement was published by the Foreign Minister of the Republic, Yván Gil, on his account on the social network Instagram, who highlights that “they are a sign of the hatred and complexity of this official, who at the end of his term of office and under instructions from the United States, intends to show his interventionist and neocolonial behavior, supporting a fascist coup d'etat in Venezuela”.

It points to the continued lack of respect for Venezuela's independence on the part of the European Union and could significantly affect diplomatic, political and economic relations, which until now are developing.

The letter states that “the dirty communiqué written by Mr. Borrell is not only an affront to national dignity, but it is a crude pamphlet that dares to claim as valid the scam of fascism that disseminated forged and spurious documents, which have already been stripped naked before public opinion. 83 percent of the documents to which they refer are false and are simply the product of a criminal plan against the popular vote.”

In addition, Venezuela once again demands respect for its integrity and urges the European Union to refrain from issuing any opinion on matters that are exclusively the responsibility of Venezuelans.
