A new shipment of humanitarian assistance with more than seven thousand tons of supplies and construction materials aboard the ship of the Bolivarian Alliance of Our America (ALBA) left this Friday for the Republic of Cuba.
This is a new envoy of humanitarian aid to reinforce damage recovery work following the passage of Hurricane Melissa.
The Deputy Minister for Latin America, Rander Peña, explained that “the people of Santiago and each of the Cuban brothers must know that Venezuela and the ALBA countries are together in order to achieve the restoration of all conditions and that they return to normality.”
He reported that the ship carries seven thousand 110 tons of various supplies, for the recovery of roads and housing, in addition to 76 food containers, five backhoes, among other resources, which will speed up the work being done on the island.
