The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, expressed on behalf of the Venezuelan people his most heartfelt words of pain when he learned about the tragedy that occurred in the city of Novi Sad, a region of Vojvodina in Serbia where at least 14 people lost their lives and another thirty people were injured when part of the outer roof of the city's main railway station collapsed.

This was stated by the Foreign Minister of the Republic, Yván Gil, through his Telegram account, where he also expressed solidarity with the Serbian authorities, who carried out rescue efforts quickly to avoid further losses, as well as technical inquiries to establish legal responsibilities for this painful mishap.

“We accompany the friendly government of Serbia, in the national mourning that today grieves that sister nation, as well as the families and friends of the victims, wishing a speedy recovery to the injured,” he said.
