Venezuela strengthens cooperation with the Congo and the Saharawi in parliamentary matters

The second vice-president of the National Assembly (AN), América Pérez, held a meeting with the vice-president of the Senate of the Democratic Republic of Congo, Samy Badibanga, in the spaces of the Legislative Palace, Caracas, in order to strengthen ties of friendship.

The installation of the Parliamentary Friendship Group between Venezuela and the Republic of Congo took place last October 31. The event was led by América Pérez, who highlighted the importance of the connection between Latin America and Africa in the fight against global imperialism.

According to a note released by the Venezuelan News Agency (AVN), this group aims to strengthen ties between the two countries through communication, dialogue and the exchange of legislative information.

In addition, Deputy Pérez received His Excellency Hamma Salama, president of the Saharawi National Council, Saharahui Arab Republic (RASD) and accompanying delegation together with the Chargé d'Affaires of the RASD Embassy in Venezuela.

In March of this year, the Parliamentary Friendship Group (GAP) Venezuela and the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic was installed in the AN.

The fundamental objectives of this instance are the promotion of bilateral relations, dialogue, mutual support, cooperation and the exchange of information.
