Venezuela strengthens technical cooperation with the International Atomic Energy Agency

Venezuela strengthens cooperation ties with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) for the peaceful use of nuclear energy in projects in strategic sectors such as human health, food security, agriculture and water resources management, said the sector's vice-president for Science, Technology and Health, Gabriela Jiménez.

Through his Telegram channel, he pointed out that, thanks to the technical cooperation program, more than 300 Venezuelan professionals have been trained in national and international courses, in different fields of these technologies, with special emphasis on human health.

“The donation of 2 state-of-the-art mammograms also materialized to continue strengthening the public health system of our country, as part of the efforts of President Nicolás Maduro to overcome the effects of the unilateral coercive measures imposed on our people,” wrote the Minister of Science and Technology.

According to a note from the MINCYT, the National Government maintains excellent technical and scientific cooperation relations with the OEIA, to promote scientific knowledge, stimulate innovation and promote the peaceful use of atomic energy.
