During the presentation of the report on the results achieved by FAO in Latin America and the Caribbean in the period 2024-2025, Ambassador Marilyn Di Luca Santaella expressed Venezuela's support for the progress made in the region.

It was emphasized that these results show concrete progress in the transformation of agri-food systems and in strengthening food and nutrition security, in line with the Strategic Framework 2022 - 2031 and the 2030 Agenda.

The national delegation emphasized that these advances translate into tangible improvements in the quality of life of peoples, including progress in the diet and nutrition of the population.

Venezuela recognized the role of FAO in strengthening national capacities and highlighted the strategic importance of strengthening Technical Cooperation Programmes to maintain and expand the results obtained.

It was also considered essential to make visible and systematize successful regional experiences in hunger reduction and nutritional improvement, facilitating their technical exchange and adaptation to different contexts.

In line with the Bolivarian Diplomacy of Peace, the country reaffirmed its willingness to actively contribute to greater regional coordination, promoting solidarity cooperation and sovereignty as a basis for moving towards a region free of hunger.
