Venezuela thanks Cuba for courageous call in defense of peace in the face of a US military threat

The Government of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela expressed its enormous gratitude to the Cuban Revolution for its call to the International Community to defend the Homeland of Bolivar and the entire region, in the face of the current military threat of the United States in the Caribbean Sea.

The Foreign Minister of the Republic, Yván Gil, published the message in his Telegram account, in which he stated: “On behalf of President Nicolás Maduro, we express our gratitude to sister Cuba for her courageous call to mobilize the international community in defense of our people, in the face of the military siege that Venezuela is facing in the Caribbean Sea.”

In the message, Gil attached the official statement from Cuba, where the authorities of the Caribbean island urge the mobilization of the international community to stop a war action against Venezuela.

“Once again, we declare our firm and unwavering support for the Bolivarian and Chavista Government of Venezuela and for the Popular and Military Unity of the Venezuelan people. Latin America and the Caribbean must remain a Zone of Peace,” the Cuban statement said.

Cuba also warns that the pretexts that Washington presents to justify its military intervention in the nation led by the president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro Moros, cannot be legally accepted.

The Venezuelan Foreign Minister ratified this position of the Government and People of Cuba, and warns that this situation is fueled by unfounded narratives, which represent a serious risk for the entire region.

“Venezuela reaffirms its commitment to peace and the defense of its sovereignty, and strongly condemns the irresponsibility of those who promote war from the United States Government,” he emphasized.
