Venezuela thanks Iran for supporting the right to be a sovereign nation

Through a message posted on the social network Telegram by Foreign Minister Yván Gil, Venezuela thanked the Islamic Republic of Iran for its support for its right to be sovereign.

“On behalf of President Nicolás Maduro, we express our most cordial greetings to the statement of the Islamic Republic of Iran in support of the right of Venezuela, as a sovereign nation and defender of the UN Charter, to protect its peace and sovereignty against unjustified external threats,” wrote the foreign minister.

He also reiterated Venezuela 's intention to strengthen ties of solidarity and cooperation, “based on mutual respect for the great Iranian people and Government, which have allowed us to move forward together in the search for a multipolar world.”
