Venezuela thanks Russia for sending humanitarian aid and experts to address the national emergency

The Minister of People's Power for Foreign Affairs, Yván Gil, expressed the sincere gratitude of the Bolivarian Government to the Russian Federation after the arrival in Caracas of a shipment of humanitarian assistance and a team of technical specialists. This deployment of international cooperation was carried out with the fundamental purpose of strengthening the logistical and public health capacities of the Venezuelan State during the next phases of the contingency generated by the earthquakes of last June 24.

“On behalf of the Bolivarian Government, we want to express our sincerest gratitude to the Government of President Vladimir Putin and the people of the Russian Federation, as well as to the Foreign Minister's Special Representative, Alexander Shchetinin, for their solidarity and unconditional support in these difficult times,” said the diplomat through his official Telegram channel. .

The contribution sent by the Russian authorities includes the supply of essential supplies for the civilian population, complemented by the immediate incorporation of specialized professionals in the area of sanitary and epidemiological control. The presence of these scientific personnel in the field is strategic for coordinating environmental risk assessments, preventing disease outbreaks in temporary camps and rigorously optimizing health protocols in the most affected sectors of the region.

“We deeply appreciate the sending of a humanitarian cargo to Caracas, as well as the arrival of experts in the field of sanitary and epidemiological control to continue facing the next phases of the national emergency,” Gil concluded in his institutional statement.

With this endowment, the Executive continues to diversify the reception of international technical assistance to ensure an orderly, scientific and timely response aimed at protecting the life and well-being of the Venezuelan population.
