Venezuelan and Ugandan foreign ministers reaffirm their common commitment to the defense of international law

The Foreign Minister of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Yván Gil, held a telephone conversation this Thursday with his counterpart from Uganda, Abubaker Jeje Odongo, to strengthen binational cooperation ties.
During the contact, described by Gil as “cordial and productive”, both diplomats reviewed “the state of bilateral cooperation” and agreed “on the importance of moving forward with the early realization of the First Binational Joint Commission, to be held in Caracas in 2026".
In addition, the Venezuelan Foreign Minister highlighted on his Telegram channel “the relevant leadership role played by Uganda at the head of the Non-Aligned Movement (MNOAL), in an international context marked by significant challenges”.
Finally, they reaffirmed the common commitment of their governments “to the defense of international law, the sovereignty of States and the rejection of aggressions that threaten the peace and stability of our peoples”.
