The Embassy of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela in the
Republic of Mali held the First Forum for the formation of the Anti-Fascist
International corresponding to the chapter of this African nation, within the framework of the World Day against Fascism and
in Solidarity with Venezuela.
The Forum was attended by Deputy Aboubakar Sidiki
Tomba, president of the Health Commission of the National Transitional Council
(CNT); Mahamadou Diawara, president of the Popular Youth Front of Mali;
Sidi Kounta, of the Union for Mali (UPM); Younouss Soumare, of the Collective for the Defense of the Military (CPM); Mahamar Idrissa
, Friend of Sentinelles
Mali-kura; Amadou Lamine, president of the Revolution Headquarters
(QGR), and Clément Benoît, Haitian writer, among other personalities.
The activity allowed exhibitors to exchange
opinions and views on fascism and the urgent need to
build a common front to combat it.
In this regard, the following reflections were raised:
1.- It's essential to understand why we do this.
Fascism is an ideology that advocates exclusion, hatred and oppression.
As anti-fascists, our mission is to defend the values of
justice, equality and respect for human rights. In Mali, as in
many other countries, these values are under threat.
2.- This forum is a platform for bringing together voices from
different backgrounds. We will discuss the challenges we face from the
extreme right and how we can join forces to face them. It's an
opportunity to learn from each other, share our experiences and
build common strategies.
3.- In solidarity with Venezuela, it is affirmed that the fight
against fascism is universal. Attacks on democracy and human
rights know no boundaries. Therefore, we must come together to
resist these threats.
4.- Together we can create a powerful movement that defends human
dignity and promotes peace. We need everyone to make
our voices heard and to act against injustice.
