Venezuelan karate begins its preparation for the 2025 Junior Pan American Games

The Venezuelan Karate delegation qualified for the Junior Pan American Games in Asunción, Paraguay 2025, began its preparation at the Antonio Díaz karate gymnasium of the National Sports Institute (IND).

The qualified team is made up of Marena Juncosa, Ana Vázquez, Karinne Tirado, Sebastian Chirinos, Jesús Castro and Joaquín Sánchez, according to the Ministry of Sports press.

The Venezuelan karate player, Yorgelis Salazar, will be part of the coaches of the national youth team, who will lead a 6-month preparation, before going in search of the Pan-American title.

“For me, I am proud to be able to be part of preparing children, to be able to contribute a little of what I have learned over the course of my sports career, and I feel that it can be of great help to them,” said Salazar.

As part of the preparation, the delegation will attend the Francisco de Miranda International Cup 2025, an event that will take place from February 26 to March 2, at the José Joaquín Papá Carrillo Gymnasium.

They will also be present at different international stops, such as the Youth League to be held in April in Spain and the U21 and Senior Pan-American Championship to be held in Monterrey, Mexico.

In addition, they will have a training base in Naples, Italy, during the month of June. He will also attend the Youth League in Croatia from June 26 to 29, and before leaving for Paraguay for the Junior Pan American Games, they will be present at the Simon Bolivar International Cup to be held in Miranda Park, for the month of August.
