Venezuelan Ogleidis Suárez will step into the ring for the WBA super welterweight title

The former world champion, Ogleidis Suárez, is Mary Spencer's first challenger to defend the World Boxing Association (WBA) super welterweight belt, next Friday, March 14.

The woman from Caracas, Ogleidis Suárez, 37 years old and a record of ( 31-5-1/15 KO), after three years without activity, will enter the ring for the second time this year, after winning the local Neisi Torres (13-17-1) in Colombia by way of a knockout in the second episode.

For her part, champion Mary Spencer (9-2/6 KO), born in Ontario, Canada, will climb the ring to fulfill her first commitment of the year. Her last appearance was against the German, Naomi Mannes where she won by unanimous decision to achieve the interim title of the World Boxing Association (WBA), and some time later she was promoted to absolute champion.

The fight that was agreed after 10 rounds will be the co-stellar duel of the evening between Erik Bazinyan (32-1-1) against Steven Butler (35-5-1) at the Espace Saint-Denis, Montreal, Quebec, Canada, according to a press release from the Ministry of Popular Power for Sports.
