Venezuelan swimmer Aarón Montezuma became one of the most outstanding figures in the VI Youth Pan-American Games for Deaf Youth in Guayaquil 2026, which take place from August 21 to 27, winning four gold and one silver in a competition that returns after 16 years of absence.

Montezuma became champion in the 100 meters freestyle, with a record of 59.82 seconds; in the 200 meters freestyle, with a time of 2:16.30; in the 50 meters butterfly, when the stopwatch stops at 29.19 seconds; and in the 100 meters butterfly, with a mark of 1:05.73, details the press release of the Ministry of People's Power for Sports.

In addition, the athlete won a silver medal in the 50-meter freestyle, a test in which he recorded 27.16 seconds, thus completing an outstanding Pan-American performance.
