Venezuela's 19th International Book Fair opened in Anzoátegui

This Thursday, February 15, the 19th Venezuelan International Book Fair (FILVEN) opened in Anzoátegui, on 5 de Julio Boulevard in the city of Barcelona, where it will remain with a varied cultural program and a wide publishing offer.

According to information from Venezolana de Televisión, the inauguration was attended by the head of the Office of Culture, Tourism and Communication of Anzoátegui, Frank Valera; the entity's Single Cultural Authority, Jesús Fermín; the vice-president of the Institute of Culture of the State of Anzoátegui (ICANZ), Héctor Pérez and representatives of the National Book Center (CENAL).

In this regard, Valera highlighted that this edition of FILVEN, held in Anzoátegui, is under the management of Governor Luis Marcano and in coordination with the Ministry of Popular Power for Culture, through CENAL.

“In Anzoátegui, we are committed to culture and to the promotion of reading as a tool for liberation and social transformation,” he said.

It should be noted that among the activities that will take place during this book fair are the presentation of books, talks, workshops, poetic recitals, exhibitions, concerts and children's shows.
