The Deputy Minister for Europe, of the Ministry of People's Power for Foreign Affairs, Coromoto Godoy, said that Venezuela has the necessary elements to become a key partner within the BRICS.

During a meeting at Petrleos de Venezuela (PDVSA), Godoy emphasized that the Nation has the largest certified oil reserves in the world, which would facilitate the diversification of energy sources within its member countries and would promote trade and investment between the nations involved.

In addition, he stressed that the country's geographical position, with direct access to the Atlantic Ocean, makes it a strategic bridge between the BRICS, Latin America and the Caribbean.

“The Bolivarian Revolution is a firm ally of the BRICS, in their crusade for the construction of a new global order, with special clarity about its energy contribution, as a determining element for sustainable development and equity among the peoples of the Earth,” he said.
