It highlights that “the military attack in the early morning of this Saturday, January 3, 2026, not only violates international law, it is a crime against the peace of a population that defends its sovereignty following the path traced by our liberators and our ancient leaders: Simón Bolívar, Francisco de Miranda, Guaicaipura, Apacuana...”.
He also emphasized that “as journalists we are committed to rigor and to the provision of reliable information.”
Below is the full text of the statement:
The military attack in the early morning of this Saturday, January 3, 2026, not only violates international law, it is a crime against the peace of a population that defends its sovereignty following the path traced by our liberators and our ancient leaders: Simón Bolívar, Francisco de Miranda, Guaicaipura, Apacuana... among so many heroes and heroines who gave their lives to achieve Independence. This Homeland was defended by them, they cultivated it and now it is an example that we will defend to continue to honor them.
As journalists, we are committed to rigor and the provision of reliable information. We reject the media garbage designed by the genocidal groups in the United States as a second phase of the attacks, the media war.
From our trench we continue to inform the world with the flag for the defense of Venezuela, the fight for peace and our sovereignty in defense of our independence.
We express our support for the Commander in Chief of the Bolivarian Government, Nicolás Maduro Moros and the First Combatant Cilia Flores, kidnapped by the United States government and we accompany them following the victorious doctrine of our Commander Hugo Chávez Frías.
Long live the free and sovereign Bolivarian Homeland!!!
