The participants of the VI Bienal del Sur: Peoples in Resistance experienced one of their most significant days when they moved to the vibrant community of San Agustín, in Caracas.

This was announced by the Biennial account on the social network Instagram, in which he highlighted that the meeting allowed a direct immersion in local culture, where art rises beyond museum institutions.

International artists were introduced to the historic San Agustín Aerial Gallery, a project that turns the MetroCable route into an extensive open-air museum, exhibiting murals and artistic interventions along the way.

The experience served as a stage for a profound cultural exchange that seeks to merge global creation with Venezuelan roots and popular resistance.

“Art breaks the walls of the museum and rises up in the community”, was the central message of the day, and which highlighted the Biennial's vocation to bring art to the spaces of everyday life.

The international delegation, made up of creators from Africa, Asia and Latin America, spoke directly with the artists and inhabitants of San Agustín. This dialogue strengthened the central spirit of the Biennial: “Peoples in Resistance”, by recognizing art as a tool for social transformation and a testimony of diversity and resilience.

The visit demonstrates the commitment of the organizers of the VI Bienal del Sur to integrate global artistic practice with popular narratives and the community infrastructure of Venezuela.
