The Executive Vice President of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, led this Monday the flag ceremony of the Venezuelan delegation that will participate in the 2024 Ayacucho Bicentennial Bolivarian Games, which will be held from November 28 to December 8 in Peru.

“In the name of President Nicolás Maduro Moros, on behalf of the Venezuelan people, to carry the Tricolor banner to Peru on the Bicentennial route of the Battle of Ayacucho, which sealed the Independence of South America. You follow in the footsteps of our Liberator Father Simón Bolívar and our Grand Marshal Antonio José de Sucre 200 years after that feat,” Rodríguez said when handing over the flag to the Creole representation.

In this regard, he urged athletes to leave “high the name of Venezuela and its tricolor banner for freedom, for independence, for the dignity of our future and of our young people. To win!” , he said.

Under the slogan “We are all Ayacucho, let's keep making history”, nearly 1,300 athletes from Venezuela, Bolivia, Colombia, Chile, Ecuador, Panama and Peru will participate in the sports event. This year, El Salvador, Guatemala and the Dominican Republic will enter as guest countries.
