Vice President Delcy Rodríguez announced 20,000 communal works to celebrate 13 years of the “Timon Strike”

The Executive Vice President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez, announced that October 20 will mark the 13th anniversary of Commander Hugo Chávez's historic Timon Coup, with more than 20,000 works of popular power.

During a videoconference with the country's 5,336 communal circuits, Rodríguez highlighted as the central theme of this anniversary the 7 Transformations for the Country, promoted by President Nicolás Maduro. “We are on the route of the anniversary of the Timon Coup, in the communal organization and reviewing from the Popular Government Room of the Vice Presidency, which is articulated with communal circuits, communes and communal councils around the Plan of the Seven Transformations, in what it means to govern the territory,” he said.

He emphasized Economic Transformation and the chain of productive circuits, through communal organization, which makes it possible to guarantee food in the territory, as well as “overcoming the criminal blockade against Venezuela (...) We are on the path of consolidating the role of the communal organization in the national economic circuit”.

Rodríguez stressed that “popular power is at the forefront of the economy as a wall of defense and with the strong will to win.”
