Vice President Delcy Rodríguez gave an assessment of her visit to Vietnam: “We will continue to work together”

The Executive Vice President of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, highlighted this Wednesday the construction of “a common future” between Venezuela and Vietnam, offering an assessment of her official visit to the Asian nation, where she carried out an intense work schedule to strengthen cooperation and friendship between both countries.

Speaking from Hanoi, Rodríguez explained that he discussed with Vietnamese authorities the advances in coordination “in the energy, agriculture, social and cultural areas, and we are now incorporating tourism, and the exchange of information on what was the process of economic renewal that has led Vietnam to be in the top 35 economies in the world.”

He highlighted the meeting he held with the president of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, Luong Cuong, with whom he spoke about international cooperation, the development and leadership of the Asian country and how to articulate Venezuela's leadership in Latin America and the Caribbean “to strengthen positions, connections and relationships between Latin America, the Caribbean and Southeast Asia.”

Rodríguez, on behalf of President Nicolás Maduro, thanked the support that Vietnam has given to the people of Venezuela and stated that “we will continue working together for the defense of Venezuela and for inserting ourselves in international spaces of great relevance.”
