The
Executive Vice President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez, installed the World Neighborhood Symposium in Caracas
this Monday, with
special guests such as Riken Yamamoto and other international personalities.
From the
Teresa Carreño Theater, Rodríguez stressed that this meeting aims
to develop and deepen the guidelines for the transformation of communities.
In this regard, he pointed out
that “today, it is in neighborhoods where true democracy is being developed in
Venezuela, because they bring to consultation the issues of daily life, the agreements
that are reached are reached through dialogue and assembly, the agreements
are expressed in the assemblies and that is how we see how neighborhoods emerge.”
He stated that
Commander Hugo Chávez conceived hegemony in the territory “so that a social fabric would be created, to create participatory democracy
that later also
flourished with the president of the Bolivarian Republic of
Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, who emerged the great popular and communal power.”
