Vice President Delcy Rodríguez urged diversification of the economy at the Q7 meeting

During the day of the debate on the Seven Transformations (7T), the Executive Vice President of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, urged the generation of proposals to change the rentier model.
The activity carried out in the Baruta municipality, in the state of Miranda, was broadcast by Venezolana de Televisión, and aimed to address the point of economic transformation, social and industrial movements in the country.
In his speech, through a telephone contact, Rodríguez called for working for economic diversification, to eliminate the dependencies and wills of external factors that seek to affect the Venezuelan people.
He assured that “a powerful national industry will be Venezuela's main shield, a powerful national industry will not allow the vagaries of geopolitics or foreign factors that seek to disturb the peace of Venezuelans and economic growth.”
He pointed out that what was included in the consultations on the 7T will be part of the proposals for the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, to formulate a national policy based on, support and legitimacy of the People.
He also recalled that the numbers presented to the nation have been positive for 10 consecutive quarters, in terms of the oil, agriculture and private manufacturing sectors.
He highlighted that, compared to January 2023, in 2024, growth was estimated at 53%.
For his part, the Minister of Popular Power for Industry and National Production, José Félix Rivas Alvarado, said that the debate of the 7T is to build proposals based on the detection of some critical issues and based on the needs of the population.
The assembly was attended by the president of Conindustries, Luigi Pisella; the president of Fedeindustries, Orlando Camacho; the president of Cavidea, Juvenal Arbelaez, among others.
