Vice President Delcy Rodríguez: We are in action in the territory together with the Municipal Government

The Executive Vice President of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, highlighted this Monday the deployment of the Bolivarian Government together with the Popular Power throughout the national territory for the consolidation of participatory and leading democracy in Venezuela.

From Catia, Sucre parish in Caracas, during the installation of the Popular and Communal Government System, Rodríguez pointed out that the Council of Sectorial Vice-Presidents is “in action, in action in the territory and in action together with the Communal Government,” and stressed that “all support must be given to communal governments, all support for the diagnosis made, all support for the concrete agenda of action.”

In this regard, he emphasized that we must continue “in the north to consolidate the participatory and leading democracy of Venezuela (...) The truth is that in Venezuela there is participatory and leading democracy. Years ago, thanks to Commander Chávez, we overcame representative democracy,” he said.

He pointed out that the country is undergoing a process of Constitutional Reform, proposed by President Nicolás Maduro, “to consolidate and expand the rights that are in our Constitution of 99, which has gained experience in defending peace and democracy in the face of every coup d'etat that has been attempted, in the face of every process of destabilization that extremism in Venezuela has initiated, that is where the Constitution has been. What better wall than that? Oh, well, right now we're going to reinforce it, we're going to expand our rights,” he said.
