Vice President Delcy Rodríguez wishes China good fortune in celebration of the Mid-Autumn Festival

The Executive Vice President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez, congratulated the People of the People's Republic of China on Monday for the celebration of the Mid-Autumn Festival.

“Today we join the celebration of the Chinese Mid-Autumn Festival. We congratulate the Chinese people on this beautiful holiday, wishing them prosperity and good fortune,” Rodríguez said in a message posted on his Telegram channel.

He highlighted the friendship between the two countries and predicted the consolidation of the strategic alliance. “May the full Moon illuminate the brotherhood between China and Venezuela, strengthening our strategic ties. Happy Mid-Autumn Festival!” , he exalted.

Also known as the Moon Festival, this holiday has a history of more than three thousand years and is celebrated on the 15th of the eighth month of the lunar calendar (on the eighth full moon of the year). That's where its name comes from, since at that time — around mid-October, according to the Gregorian calendar — the moon is at its brightest.
