Vice President Rodríguez calls for the union of the Peoples of Latin America and the Caribbean (+assembly)

The Executive Vice President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez, issued a strong call for the unity of the peoples of Latin America and the Caribbean, during her participation in the Assembly of Peoples for the Sovereignty and Peace of Our America, in Caracas.

He said that in the face of the historical dilemma facing the region: “either we unite or we succumb.” “Our Latin America and the Caribbean must come together as one as a national security strategy,” he added.

Rodríguez highlighted Venezuela's historic willingness for integration and the joint defense of regional sovereignty against external threats.

Vice President Rodríguez emphasized that Venezuela is “ready and ready for union”, more than 2 centuries ago with the flags of the Liberator Simon Bolivar, Miranda and the spirit of Ayacucho.

“The Liberator Simon Bolivar taught a lesson to the empires and colonialists of the time, in each of the battles fought for the independence of the nations of the hemisphere,” he said.

He reaffirmed that Venezuela's sovereignty is non-negotiable. “Faced with falsehoods and the objective of hegemonic control over the hemisphere and its resources, no one gives up here. If they try to attack Venezuela, the aggressors will find themselves with a united army again,” he said.

He asserted that the extremist and fascist sectors that have requested blockades, invasions and bombings will be “defeated in the same way” by the force of the Venezuelan people.
