Vice President Rodríguez denounces illegal and interfering actions by the United States to OPEC and OPEC+

The Executive Vice President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela and Minister of Hydrocarbons, Delcy Rodríguez, read a statement written by the Head of State, Nicolás Maduro, addressed to the Secretary General of the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC), Haitham Al Ghais, as well as to all the member countries of OPEC and OPEC+ where she denounces the illegal and interventionist actions that the United States (USA) is trying to carry out with the purpose of seizing the country's oil reserves.

He explained that through this statement, Venezuela denounces before this body, and before member countries, the illegal and interventionist actions that the United States is trying to carry out with the purpose of seizing the country's oil reserves through the use of lethal force against the Venezuelan nation and people.

In addition, he assured that Venezuela will remain firm in the defense of its natural and energy resources, and will not be subject to any external blackmail.

In this regard, he stressed that the National Executive urges members of OPEC and OPEC+ to an active union to avoid succumbing to external pressure.
