As part of the 48th Anniversary of the State Petrochemical Corporation of Venezuela, S.A. (PEQUIVEN), the Executive Vice President of the Republic and Minister of the Popular Power of Hydrocarbons, Delcy Rodríguez, led this Friday, December 5, the award ceremony to the working class of this industry, from the José Antonio Anzoátegui Petrochemical Complex G/D (CPJAA).

He stressed that this sector will mark the future, because “in one, two or three decades, 40% of barrels of oil will go to the petrochemical industry.”

Rodríguez congratulated the workers of PEQUIVEN, stating that it is in their hands to guarantee the growth of the Venezuelan seller, reported the Executive Vice Presidency of the Republic, in her account on the social network Telegram.

He also pointed out that petrochemistry is essential because it impacts crucial areas such as the textile industry, the automotive industry and the agro-industry, and even drinking water, a resource present in the daily lives of citizens.

Rodríguez emphasized that the country, having the largest oil and gas reserves, is threatened by those who want to steal its natural resources, who have been defeated by the efforts of the working class that day by day overcomes the criminal blockade of 1,046 illegal sanctions.

Faced with the historical surrender of some reactionary sectors, he assured that the defense of sovereignty is the only way, and added that it is time to leave to future generations the legacy of a free and independent country that defends the legacy of El Libertador Simón Bolívar.
