Vice President Rodríguez: President Maduro is always aware of the people's food

This Saturday, October 19, the Executive Vice President of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, reported that the head of state, Nicolas Maduro, has some surprises in store for the country's grandparents and grandmothers.

He also emphasized that the Bolivarian Government guarantees that the country's grandparents and grandmothers have access to a balanced diet.

The announcement was made during a day of the Sovereign Countryside Fair in the parish of La Candelaria in Caracas, where he highlighted that the supply of domestic production to the Local Supply and Production Committees (CLAP) guarantees the right to food of the Venezuelan people.

During the day supervised by Vice President Rodríguez; Mayor Carmen Melénde z and the Minister of Popular Power for Food, Carlos Leal Tellería, inhabitants of the Sarría sector, in the parish of La Candelaria, are benefited through the Great Food Mission.

During the tour of the fair, Rodríguez stated that the president (Nicolás Maduro) always “is aware of the food of the people in all its dimensions”.

In this regard, he highlighted the role of State companies with their contribution to guaranteeing the people's right to food and in activating economic activity

He also highlighted the fundamental role played by the Great Food Mission in the face of the criminal blockade facing Venezuela and described it as a winner.

“May the blockade not turn into blackmail or harassment of the people. From the People, answers have emerged through communal organization, from the CLAP,” he said.

“We have seen how our companies have recovered and are contributing to CLAP to guarantee the people's right to food,” he said.

On the other hand, he reported that almost 15 thousand tons of proteins will be distributed this month of October throughout the national territory.
