The Executive Vice President of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, and the Japanese architect Riken Yamamoto paid a visit to the Central University of Venezuela (UCV) to verify the total and comprehensive rehabilitation of the country's largest university of studies.

The prominent Japanese architect toured the UCV campus for the second time, considered by him to be a masterpiece of contemporary architecture and urban planning, which was declared a World Heritage Site in 2000.

For Yamamoto, the works of the Venezuelan architect Carlos Raúl Villanueva are an inspiration and a reference, especially the UCV, restored by the national Government through the Presidential Commission, which has been carrying out various projects for him for some time.

During the visit to emblematic spaces of the UCV, the Executive Vice President shared with the renowned architect the monument built to honor Jorge Rodríguez (father), who in his lifetime was the leader of the student movement of the house that overcomes the shadows.

The illustrious architect and the authorities agreed that Venezuela is making progress in building the most humane, modern societies with high architectural technology. Vice President Rodríguez highlighted that, now, the nation's urban development has even more ambitious objectives, set out in the Plan of the Seven Transformations 2025-2031.
