The executive vice president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez, reported that the loss and extent of the blockade on the country is 2 billion dollars by 2024 for the Homeland. “Venezuela is an unforcibly blocked country and this illegal action has resulted in revenues impacting 99%, which translates into health, education and housing,” he said.
From the floor of the National Assembly (AN), this Thursday, May 2, Rodríguez presented for the first discussion by the deputies the bill on the Protection of Social Security Pensions against the Imperialist Blockade.
“We wanted to bring this bill, which has an article composed of 13 items and which seeks a very specific objective, which is the special protection of pensions through contributions from private companies against criminal blockade,” he said. In that regard, he stressed that “the determination of the Venezuelan people has been firm in saying that no criminal blockade, blackmail or extortion will change their will.”
