Vice President Rodríguez: Venezuela condemns attack against the father of Colombia's vice-president

The Executive Vice President of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, strongly condemned the attack against the father and relatives of the Vice President of Colombia, Francia Márquez Mina.

In a message on his social network account, Rodríguez stated that “Venezuela condemns the cowardly attack against the father and relatives of the Vice President of Colombia, to whom we extend our solidarity.”

“Violence will never have any justification in a society that seeks peace,” he emphasized.

The attack on Márquez's father occurred in the town of Robles, Jamundí, Valle del Cauca, when Sigifredo Márquez Trujillo was attacked while being transported in a vehicle that received four bullet wounds.

The Cali Metropolitan Police confirmed the incident and will carry out appropriate investigations.
