This Monday, January 06, the Sectorial Vice President of Policy, Citizen Security and Peace, Diosdado Cabello, held a press conference at which he offered a balance sheet of security deployment in the country.

In this regard, he highlighted the achievements in
terms of security and citizen protection, in which Venezuela is
well below international indices.
- “Today, the homicide rates per
100,000 inhabitants of Venezuela are not only below
international standards, but I think that hardly any country can reach these
numbers; we have only 4 homicides per 100,000 inhabitants.”
- “In terms of fires, emergencies; the calls that our country has had, invitations to other countries for disaster support, there is very important coordination between State security agencies.”

Cabello also emphasized that the conspiracy plans of the fascist
extreme right have been defeated and dismantled.
-
State Security Agencies (OSE) seized ammunition and 700 rifle magazines, which would be used
for the execution of
violent plans by the Venezuelan extreme right.
- The above-mentioned chargers entered
the country hidden in furniture. “We know where the
shippers came from, who sent them, how they shipped them.”
- “It's a plan of violence, its plan
includes terrorist acts, including the sabotage of public services.
This is why we have apprehended mercenaries who are speaking”
- The opposition will have reason to be
nervous. The truth is that the security forces are deployed carrying out
their function because this people want peace and quiet.
- Bitter people don't like people to
enjoy themselves and that's why they're looking for ways to disturb that peace and quiet.
But they will not succeed, we are sure that they will not succeed.
- “There are more than 120 citizens of
different nationalities arrested for terrorist and
destabilization plans against Venezuela. They have been
declaring what plans they have.”
- “This is the funding that
Mrs. María Corina Machado receives with the terrorist group that wants to
bring Venezuela into chaos, because it does not have (Machado) an
electoral plan, but an assault on power.”
- Juan Guaidó said he had 80% of the Armed
Forces. Where are they today? We have an obligation to inform the
people of the opposition's plans and
their use of violence to destabilize the country.

In the same way, he assured that on
January 10, within all the institutions, the elected president
Nicolás Maduro Moros was sworn in and guaranteed the continuity of the security deployment.
- “If presidents of other
countries and representatives of more than 100 international organizations are going to come to the
inauguration of President Maduro, we must guarantee
peace and security for his guests,
Venezuelans and Venezuelans throughout the territory.”
- On social networks they talk about police
extension, “no one talks about abuses by
deployed security forces, doing their job and accompanying the People; because
there is a reality and this People want peace and tranquility”.
- He also referred to the former presidents who
make up the Democratic Initiative of Spain and the Americas (
IDEA Group), who said they will come to Venezuela to accompany
Edmundo González.
- “Nobody is inviting them, their
presence here indicates an invasion of Venezuela.”
- “None of these former presidents have
the morals to meddle in Venezuela's internal affairs, the vast majority of them are
criminals.”

As for Edmundo González, he indicated that his
tour is a failure and if he sets foot in Venezuela he will be brought to justice as
established by law for the crimes attributed to him.
- Edmundo González Urrutia, is “very cowardly” and has never expressed concern for Venezuela.
- “Nobody was chasing him, nobody
(...), but as soon as they gave him the opportunity, he went to Spain and his
only concern in Venezuela is his bushes, the plants he
has in his apartment and some macaws that come to eat there, which are
not his; he has never expressed concern for Venezuela, his
concern is for personal things.”
- González Urrutia's threats, for
January 10, are “pure straw, it takes courage and willingness to do
that and he has neither the courage nor the will to do so”.
- “They're not going to come, anyway,
we're going to welcome them to Venezuela; Mr. González knows. Urrutia, who barely sticks a finger out in Venezuela, will be
arrested and charged with all the crimes for which he is accused.”
- “The failure of every call,
after July 28, made by her (Machado), cannot be hidden. The
failure of Edmundo González's supposed world tour
cannot be hidden”.
- “There was no quorum. And do you know who was
blamed? Into the snow. 'It's snowing in Washington and
we can't move' (was the excuse) (...) It's an absolute failure.”
- Venezuela is respected.
“We're going to make her respect, don't have any doubts about
that.”

He reaffirmed that Venezuela is at peace and
quiet and that security agencies will remain deployed carrying out their functions.
- Those who attempt acts of violence
in Venezuela must bear the consequences, because “the
response will be overwhelming (...) Assume your responsibility and we will
assume ours”.
- “Today, perhaps, we are more united than ever, and President Nicolás Maduro has called for a popular-military-police merger, which is nothing more than a word.”
- “In general terms, Venezuela is
at peace, remember that we come from constant threats, terrible threats, and
despite these threats, the country is at peace and has managed to overcome the vast
majority of them.”
PSUV press conference to announce the schedule of activities
The also first vice-president of the PSUV led the red awning press conference, at which he announced the schedule of activities and addressed important issues of national interest.

- “We offer a happy new year from the bottom of our hearts, in a loving and supportive way. A happy year to all Venezuelans who love this country, to those who don't love this country to stand in line, because those of us who love this country are the vast majority of Venezuelans who defend this country whatever and whenever.”
- “There are those who criticize that police forces are guarding the streets; and that is the case, it must be guaranteed that everything goes more calmly, the bitter ones are doing other things.”
- “On January 10, the world will see a People mobilize in support of their truth, their independence, their elected president and above all they will see a People that will not allow themselves to be subdued by anything or anyone.”
- This week we have a lot of popular activities on the eve of the celebration of a new presidential term. Representatives from more than 100 countries, heads of state, are coming, and these festive events will take place normally thanks to the security bodies and officials who watch over the country's peace.
- We're going to swear by the presidentNicolás Maduro, we are going to move people to take Caracas in joy. The president has called for a popular-military-police merger, and after the swearing in there will be a recognition of the police and security forces and bodies to the Head of State.
- On January 26, we have the first popular consultation of the year, an active, direct and true democracy in which the People are the ones who decide. From now on, we must make even greater progress to deliver the best to the People every day.

In addition, he emphasized that the red awning is beginning to oil his machinery for the electoral calendar scheduled for 2025.
- The task begins with the activation of communal circuits, through communal political teams.
- Venezuela is following the path of its participatory and leading democracy, contemplated in the Constitution of the Republic.
- “It is our model, contemplated here (in the Constitution), it is not the model of the Yaquis or the Europeans, it is our model, because we are in a phase of consolidation,” he said and pointed out that the PSUV accompanies and is at the forefront of that model.
- The opposition sectors to agree so that they participate in the elections and then “don't go around crying”.

He reaffirmed that revolutionary forces are always ready to defend the Homeland; and he also reaffirmed the support of the PSUV for the decision of the National Executive to break diplomatic relations with the government of Paraguay.
- “Today we are not in that same situation neither on the 17th nor on the 18th nor on the 19th, no, we are in another situation and they are not in the same situation as that time (...) I think our growth is greater, but much greater, given the capacity for devaluation that they have had, much greater, it is like 80 20. We've grown up and they're almost at ground level.”
- The Bolivarian Revolution has “grown in strength, in morals, in preparation, in knowledge of the adversary (...) It's not the same situation, we don't trust each other, we don't make the very serious mistake of underestimating the enemy, the enemy of the country, but we don't make the mistake of overestimating”.
- “If we didn't fall for that in 2019, we were almost open-chested for Táchira, especially now that we have the strength, that we have the organized people, that we have the much more cohesive party, the Great Patriotic Pole, that we have that extraordinary initiative of the popular-military-police fusion.”
- “Well, we are not going to underestimate them, what they do, they know, is that we are much more prepared than before, much more aware and much more determined to defend the Homeland.”
- “Paraguay joins a list of countries that have wanted to interfere in Venezuela's internal affairs, but the reality is that Paraguay owes more than 400 million dollars to Venezuela and they are doing their best not to pay, so they assume those positions.”
- “Here we don't accept interference from anyone, who comes here to Venezuela and they think they can play, and pass like nothing else. Anyone who comes to Venezuela with that attitude, without being invited, will be treated as an invader. That means immediate arrest, brought to the order of this country's courts, and we don't care what they say. The fate will be the same, imprisonment and trial.”
