In response to the accident that occurred on the bridge over the Cocuiza River in the state of Zulia, the Bolivarian Government, on instructions from the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, began mobilizing heavy machinery for the immediate construction of a new bridge.
In this regard, the Minister of Popular Power for Transport, Ramón Velásquez Araguayán, on his account on the social network Instagram, reported that technical teams are already on the ground to evaluate the situation and work tirelessly to build the new structure.
The structure seeks to re-establish the road connection between the Ana María Campos parish in the Miranda municipality in the state of Zulia and the Mene de Mauroa parish in Falcón.
In the face of the collapse, an alternative road was established along the “La Williams” highway and work will be carried out on a temporary variant that will be available in the next 48 to 72 hours.
