World Birdwatching Congress set up in Mérida with guests from different countries

In the midst of the majestic Andean landscapes and the natural wealth that characterizes the state of Mérida, the World Birdwatching Congress began, an event of international stature that makes Venezuela the epicenter of nature tourism.
With the presence of observers, experts and birdwatching enthusiasts from different countries, the opening day was marked by enthusiasm, pride and commitment to environmental conservation.
The Minister of Popular Power for Tourism, Leticia Gómez, emphasized that this congress represents a milestone for the country, positioning it at the forefront of nature tourism worldwide.
For his part, the regional president, Arnaldo Sánchez, highlighted the importance of this meeting as a showcase to show the world Venezuelan biodiversity.
“It fills us with joy to receive our distinguished national and international guests, as well as observers who not only love Venezuela, but who share a deep passion for birdwatching,” said Sánchez.
In addition, he highlighted that Venezuela is a paradise for nature lovers, and that this congress is a unique opportunity to show the world our natural riches, promote sustainable tourism and strengthen the link between conservation and development.
