The installation and structuring of the Yaracuy State Theater Network marked a new step in strengthening the performing arts in the entity, with the objective of consolidating an updated census of theater groups in the 14 municipalities of the region.
The initiative brought together the Institute for Culture of the State of Yaracuy (ICEY), the Ministerial Cabinet for Culture and the regional office of the Cultural Mission, in a day aimed at organizing and articulating the work of the theater sector.
The director of the Department of Theatrical Arts of the ICEY, Miguel Herrera, explained that the directors of the state's theater groups were invited to update the union's data, learn about their artistic proposals and provide institutional support to the different stage projects.
He also indicated that the program has the support of the Directorates of Culture of the Yaracuyan mayors and the houses of culture of each municipality, with the purpose of promoting the formation of new theatrical groups throughout the region.
Herrera pointed out that, once these organizations are consolidated, training processes will be developed in areas such as acting, theatrical direction and lighting, among other specialties, to strengthen the capacities of creators and energize theatrical activity in the entity.
