Youth Leadership School began first training cycle (+ programs)

This Monday, the Antonio José de Sucre International Youth Leadership School opened its doors to the first cohort with students from the states of Aragua, Carabobo, La Guaira, Anzoátegui, Miranda and the Capital District.

The rector of the institution, Héctor Rodríguez, presented the four initial programs and explained that in addition to training, young people will volunteer in the communities surrounding the school, which is located in Fila de Mariches, Sucre municipality in Miranda state.

He specified that in this first cycle every week a group of six states will enter, until all 24 entities are completed. Subsequently, there will be permanent academic programs for 900 young people, while 160,000 middle school student leaders and some 25,000 university leaders will be trained in their respective territories.

Regarding the four programs that will be developed in this first phase, Rodríguez mentioned:

1.- Leadership of communal youth: “This is the pillar program of all political dynamics, because President Nicolás Maduro has prioritized communal government, and for that we must have leaders,” explained the rector.

2.- International leadership: Some 300 young people from other countries will come together in this process. “It's a special program. The idea is that they know the Venezuelan social dynamics, that they know experiences such as communes,” he said.

3.-Student leadership: It will have a different methodology, since it will be the territorialization of this school, classes by state, by municipality. This includes university students, as well as academic reinforcement in mathematics, natural sciences, reading and writing, and history and identity. “Leaders must be the best students,” Rodríguez emphasized.

4.-Leadership of those who are governing or who have any leadership within the country's political conjuncture.
