Youth receives invitation to the Venezuelan Women's National Poetry and Song Contest

Through a video published on the networks of the Ministry for Culture, the Minister of Popular Power for Youth, Grecia Colmenares, extends the invitation to young people and lovers of literature to participate in the first National Poetry and Song Contest for Venezuelan Women.

“We invite all the Venezuelan people, and especially the youth, to the first poetry and song contest" Venezuelan Woman "to highlight the affirmative values of Venezuelan women and celebrate our kindness. We want all of us: mothers, grandmothers, university students, high school students, and factory workers, to feel increasingly proud,” she said.

For her part, the Minister of Popular Power for Women, Jhoanna Carrillo, said that this invitation is to write from poetry, singing, from any corner of Venezuela, in this contest, in which “you can write about women and life, dignity, peace, love and struggle, this contest is ageless, which invites us to say beautiful things about our women”.

“This contest allows us to invite everyone who wishes to show their writing. The female people are happy to show the enhancement of the popular genre by demonstrating what each of the women is in that poetry and that song,” she said.

In addition, the representative of the Venezuelan Youth Mission, Genesis Garvett, invited to celebrate “working women, whom they seek to promote and leave very high the true identity of Venezuela, of our history.”

It is important to note that the works can be submitted until February 15. In addition, the winners will receive wonderful prizes, including a trip to Mérida or Margarita and the promotion of their works.
