Zulia: PNB destroyed a drug laboratory in La Cañada de Urdaneta

Members of the Bolivarian National Police (PNB), attached to the anti-drug division, dismantled a clandestine laboratory allegedly used for the processing of illegal substances.


According to information published on the web portal of the newspaper Úlmas Noticias (UN), the incident occurred in the municipality of La Cañada de Urdaneta, Chiquinquirá parish, Palmares Viejo sector, in the state of Zulia; where uniformed personnel seized various evidences confirming criminal activity in the area.


“Among the elements were found: 8 marijuana wrappers, weighing approximately 2 kilos 521 grams; 4 cocaine-based wrappers, weighing approximately 2 kilos 536 grams; 22 gallons of muriatic acid, a substance used in drug processing,” the newspaper reported.


In addition, they seized three drums, used for the storage of chemical substances; a plastic table, used to handle drugs; two bags of bicarbonate, a chemical compound commonly used in the manufacture of drugs, and a firearm.
