16,000 streets of Anzoátegui participate in meetings to elect the Bolivarian Integral Base Committees

In the state of Anzoátegui, popular assemblies are being held in the 16,000 organized streets of the territory, as part of the confirmation process of the Bolivarian Integral Base Committees (CBBI), led by the National Directorate of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV).

From the city of Puerto La Cruz, the street spokeswomen stressed that this day responds to President Nicolás Maduro's call to strengthen grassroots structures through the direct participation of organized people, in coordination with communities and communal councils.

Nubia Pérez, a street leader, stressed that young people are also gradually joining these bodies: “We are organizing ourselves. Young people are already integrated into the process and we are moving forward. Many have grown up in the Revolution and want to consolidate their participation.”

For her part, Josefina Reyes, also a street leader, said that the meetings are taking place in accordance with the guidelines of the PSUV: “We are following the line of President Nicolás Maduro. We are setting up our rank-and-file committees to continue working collectively for the well-being of the community.”
