A total of 169 Tourism Service Providers (PST) from La Guaira and Miranda completed awareness-raising and training sessions aimed at optimizing care and improving the visitor experience.

The initiative, promoted by the Ministry of Popular Power for Tourism (MINTUR), was developed simultaneously in Chichiriviche de la Costa and Chuspa, in La Guaira, and Guayabal, in Miranda, under the coordination of the National Management of Training, Awareness and Tourism Training of the National Tourism Institute (INATUR).

The training cycle addressed three main areas: language, sustainable tourism and seismic risk prevention. In addition, in Chuspa and Guayabal, emphasis was placed on community tourism and the use of the English language for the care of foreign visitors, while in Chichiriviche de la Costa, knowledge about the conservation of natural areas and protocols for action against earthquakes was reinforced.

The participants also strengthened their capacities in sustainability, claims management and tourist care, in addition to learning about aspects related to the geological reality of Venezuela and preventive measures in the face of possible emergencies.

The training seeks to contribute to strengthening the tourist offer of the coastal axis of both entities and to consolidate Motor Tourism as part of the country's diversified economy, through the application of good practices aimed at improving the care and safety of visitors.
