As part of the 4th Edition of the Student Exchange, Mario Castillo, president of the Regional Youth Institute of the Government of La Guaira, announced the participation of 600 young people from the state of Sucre, selected for their academic performance.
Castillo explained that this activity, organized for the fourth consecutive year, aims to recognize the efforts of students who have achieved the highest average grades in their schools. “This program represents a recognition of merit. It is the result of the commitment of young people, their families and teachers. Here are the best averages in the state of Sucre, and we want them to have an experience that motivates them to keep moving forward,” he said.
During their stay in La Guaira, the participants visited historical, tourist and cultural sites, as well as recreational activities organized by the Niño Simón Foundation and the recreational team. Safety was guaranteed by the relevant authorities.
Mariangel Salazar, one of the invited students, shared her experience after attending a theatrical performance: “They told us the story of a very special house. It was so emotional that my skin became itchy. I think it's important to value the effort we've made over the years. This isn't just about standing out, but because we feel good about ourselves.”
The young people agreed that this opportunity motivates them to continue their studies. “It's not just about being a bachelor's degree. This trip inspires us to continue our training, to learn more and to grow,” said several of the attendees.
The student exchange program is implemented in coordination with regional institutions and forms part of public policies aimed at strengthening education and recognizing academic achievements.
