ALBA-TCP celebrated recognition of the State of Palestine by several countries

In an official statement, the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America - Peoples' Trade Agreement (ALBA-TCP) celebrates the support given by a significant number of countries to the State of Palestine.

Below is the full text of the statement:

The Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America-Peoples' Trade Agreement (ALBA-TCP) welcomes the fact that a growing number of countries have recognized the State of Palestine. This progress constitutes a momentous step towards the two-State solution and the reaffirmation of the right of the Palestinian people to have an independent and sovereign State within the pre-1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital. This represents an act of historical justice that can no longer be delayed.

The ALBA-TCP countries welcome the fact that more and more nations are responsibly assuming the duty to recognize the inalienable rights of the Palestinian people, in strict accordance with the United Nations Charter, International Law and International Humanitarian Law. Recognizing Palestine is a moral and legal duty to guarantee regional and international peace and security.

The ALBA-TCP categorically condemns the genocide perpetrated by Israel against the Palestinian people, as well as the illegal and systematic occupation that for more than seven decades has tried to take from them, their land, their freedom and their future.

The Alliance reaffirms that Palestine belongs to the Palestinians and calls on States that have not yet taken this step to recognize, without further delay, their right to exist as a free and sovereign nation; and to occupy their seat as a full member of the United Nations Organization. The Palestinian cause is also the cause of the dignity of peoples.

Enough of the genocide! Palestine will win!
