Alejandra Pérez reached third place on the podium at the New Delhi 2025 World Para-Athletics Championships held at the Jawaharlal Nehru stadium in the capital of India.
The Venezuelan woman excelled in the final of the women's 400-meter T12 class event, recording a time of 56.66 seconds that secured her the bronze medal together with her guide, Luis Herrera.
The event, held on October 1, was won by neutral representative Anna Kulinich-Sorokina (56.38), accompanied by her guide Ilia Goncharov, while the silver went to the Iranian Hajar Safarzadeh Ghahderijani, who recorded 56.39 seconds.
Pérez, together with his guide Herrera, maintained a solid pace throughout the race, and with this performance he continues to give positive results for Venezuela after his last international participation in the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games where he won the silver medal in the 200 meters T12.
With this result, Alejandra Pérez continues to consolidate herself as one of the great exponents of Venezuelan parathletics, reaffirming her perseverance and competitiveness in speed tests.
